Job Description

The Human Resources Admin assistant s responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager with a variety of Human Resources functions and managing the training process at the property. He/she is also responsible for filling in a timely manner, accurate and timely completion of paperwork, assist with employee relations activities, and the understanding and enforcement of company policies.

Duties and Function
• Administer insurance benefits, explain benefits, assist with completion of enrollment forms, answer questions and maintain an up-to-date filing system.
• Review applicants resume and conduct prescreening interviews.
• Maintain new hire, termination, transfer and promotion logbook.
• Assist with all employee relations activities and it’s organization.
• Prepare and place recruitment advertising.
• Become certified trainer in all Human Resources training modules.
• Provide employee onboarding and completion of new hire paperwork
• Manage Benefit programs
• Write articles and take pictures for property newsletter.
• Assist with special projects; plan employee events (meetings, picnics, parties).
• Assist with performance evaluations
• Design, implement, and deliver training programs for hospitality staff (front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, etc.).
• Conduct orientation sessions for new hires in multiple languages as needed.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs to improve outcomes.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Manage Marriott’s training platform and promote and assist with mandatory learning

• Attend all hotels required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Courtyard by Marriott Curaçao/Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags.
• Comply with Courtyard by Marriott Curaçao/Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
• Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Long hours are sometimes required.
• Sedentary work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
